Aileen Adams has served in top positions at all levels of government: Director, Office for
Victims of Crime in the U.S. Justice Department (1993-1997) appointed by President Clinton;
Secretary of State and Consumer Services Agency (1999-2003) appointed by Governor Davis as a member of his Cabinet; Los Angeles Deputy Mayor, Office of Strategic Partnerships (2009-
2013) appointed by Mayor Villaraigosa; Co-Executive Director, Los Angeles County Blue Ribbon
Commission on Child Protection (2013-2014) appointed by the Commission; and Senior Advisor
to LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis (2014-2016). For four years (2019-2023) she chaired the board of one of LA's largest social justice foundations: The Weingart Foundation, on whose board she continues to serve. She also serves on the boards of March for Our Lives, the Partnership for LA Schools, and the Langeloth Foundation. In addition, she has chaired the Board of the Rape Foundation, the Women's Foundation of California, and the LA City Fire Commissioners. She also worked for almost a decade as a Legal Counsel at the Rape Treatment Center, where she was a co-founder and director of Stuart House, a nationally recognized center providing comprehensive services for sexually abused children.
